INTRODUCTION TO TANZANITE
 
1. Course objective

To give the student a comprehensive background, knowledge and understanding of Tanzanite and its common simulants.

  • Colour
  • Clarity
  • Finish
  • Imitations
  • Basic use of gem testing equipment
  • How to care for Tanzanite

3. Course design

The duration of the course is one day from 8.00am- 4.00pm. The student will receive a training manual that MUST be studied by the student prior to attending the course. The day will include theory and practical sessions using gem testing equipment and a final evaluation of each students understanding of the subject.

4. Course fee

Johannesburg: R1026.00 incl VAT per person. Other centers: R1368.00 incl VAT. excluding courier costs of course material where applicable. Courses are held in the various centers on pre-determined dates so as to allow for a minimum number of 16 students per course. A discount for group training of more than 5 students may be negotiated.

5. Certificate

After attending the Tanzanite course and successfully completing the final evaluation the student will receive a certificate of completion from E.G.L.
